Ebb & Flow Tracks
Geolastic Group stands out in the development of top quality, water-efficient and sustainable surfaces thanks to its integrated irrigation system.
We have designed the world's first self-regulating track.
Through the insertion of strategically located motorized solenoid valves and sensors, the water supply is continuously measured & the degree of humidity is automatically adjusted based on the specific needs of the track.
Learn about the advantages of indoor irrigation against aerial irrigation:
Energy consumption:
Energy consumption is reduced by nearly 70% compared to old overhead irrigation systems, requiring only a 220 kW power supply instead of the 400 kW needed to start a pump and propel water.
Water consumption:
Traditional irrigation systems: the average water consumption for a 6,000 m² track, with an average temperature of 20 degrees Celsius and moderate wind, is around 120 thousand liters per day. Geolastic Group’s system maintains water consumption below 15,000 liters per day in the absence of rain.
Uniform moisture grade:
Tracks remain in optimal conditions regardless of the weather events. Buoy systems automatically raise/lower the water level according to the specific needs. In adverse weather conditions -heavy rainfall- the water level is lowered, and rapidly drained. On the contrary, if water needs to be added, it is injected internally to reach optimal moisture grade for the track or arena.
Sport event needs
During sporting events with a large number of participants, it is not necessary to interrupt the competition to water the track. Tracks remain in optimal condition throughout the event and the safety of the horses is guaranteed.
The EBB & Flow system ensures moisture throughout the whole arena.
The right material mix + moisture on an even surface allows in turn a consistent stride for the horse, offering the same rebound and cushioning, well distributed to absorb the impact all over the track.
Comfort & Safety
Water filtering system
Geolastic Group recommends the installation of a self-cleaning water filtration system to prevent sediments or impurities from clogging the pipe sections without damaging the track. This filter is essential for the longevity of the track, as we have observed that many tracks of this type from other brands age quickly, forcing customers to replace the sand after a few years due to impurities present in the water.
